Pain is Only a Word.

Pain is only a word. Not a feeling. A word. You can't show someone pain unless the other can experience and feel it with you. And even then they are not experiencing the same feelings you are. To everyone pain can be something as hurtful as a needle in the arm. While others may say pain is loosing a loved one. But, no matter what you think you can never experience the exact thing that person is or was experiencing.
You may say that you have gone through it, and sure it may be rather close but no one is the same. And how they take things could be very different then what you think they should go through. Sure some are more of a cry baby then others but that could be because they are emotionally unstable or they had been hurt bad when they were just a child.
Some do not like to share their emotions and will more likely be found staying up the whole night tearing themselves apart piece by piece until there is almost nothing left. But, those people will look fine in the morning.
Others may have the perfect life to outsiders and thats what those people want you to see. They want you to think that all they are is happy and strong. But truly on the inside they might just want to die and are just wishing for that one day that they will be free from this world.
But you won't know that. You can't feel it. You might think their stupid for feeling this way. Espicially if they are getting the grades or they have perfect relationships or have tons of friends. But what do you know? What if at home they were abused or they might not even have a home to go to.
And thus thats when you think, why didn't I see that? Why didn't they tell someone? But what would that person had said? Because to others that may be nothing and they think that this person is just stuck up and needs to learn to be brave. Well to them, this is between life and death and since you can't actually feel it... what buisness do you have telling them how unimportant their problems are? For all you know YOU could be the final reason they commit suicide. Because you said that they were unimportant, even if you didn't mean it that way... thats what they heard.
So how do you feel now? If you feel even the slightest bit of sympathy then you might finally understand. But if you don't then why did you bother opening this note? Just thought it would be funny to read?
Pain is not real... except for the beholder of it. Everyone experiences it at some point but if you ask them to tell you how it feels, then you will never get the true answer for you will never fully understand what they are going through.
And, honestly you never will be able to feel that 'Pain' for yourself. You just try your best to try and help them. But what good does it do? Because you don't know what to do, you just can't understand them and you can't figure out why your words aren't helping them. So why do you care then? Just give up.
Unless you really believe in them.
Now you should understand though.
Just how harsh your words can be.
How hard it is for someone to just cheer up.
How bad it can be for someone.
But you also know that trying your best can also help them. Because they need that one person who believes in them.
Will that be you?
